Brief info


Dr. Omonuwa was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1964 after obtaining the LLB degree of the University of London. He subsequently obtained the LLM and PhD degrees of the University of Lagos in 1972. He also obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in International Economic Law as a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School, USA, in 1969.

He began his Legal career as a State Counsel in the Federal Ministry of Justice, serving as Legal Adviser in several Government parastatals and agencies.
He subsequently joined the Faculty at the Nigerian Law School Lagos where he lecture for several years, retiring s an Associate Professor.

Dr. Omonuwa served from 1979 to 1983 as Special Assistant to President Shehu Shagari for Bendel State. He has earlier been appointed as Chairman, Board of Directors of Bendel Cement Company, Okpella from 1976 to 1979.
He retired to private Legal practice in 1984. He passed on in 1996.
